Sorry - It seems a few links are broken- They'll be repaired soon (~3/1/01) <>p>
I enjoy travelling...

-- This site is a travelogue of sorts,
with links to all kinds of other sites...
Some are family homepages, some commercial,
But they all help tell MY story, too,
-- the world IS a BEAUTIFUL place to visit!!!

So STOP for a minute, and smell some roses with me!

I apologize for the speed
of some of the sites you will click on this page,
but each is stimulating and/or visually rewarding,
and worth the wait -- at least once.

I LOVE the beauty of nature
-- seaside, mountain or forest.
And I truly enjoy the differences between
people and cultures, older and ancient architecture, and geology and other natural sciences

Wouldn't it be grand to spend a few years digging at some ancient civilizations' ruins, or live in some of the very old Asian and European cities?
To walk where they walked, to touch their lives in however distant a manner would be so humbling.

In the meantime I'm employed as an
Engineering Leader for a Fortune 200
manufacturing company in
Western New York state, USA.

I carry multiple professional certifications and
am a Senior Member of my professional society.
Until January of last year, I enjoyed teaching
Adult and Continuing Education
for one of the country's major universities.

My wife and I take several vacations annually
(our kids are grown except my youngest son).

Typically we "escape" for 2-8 days...
sometimes into one of our timeshares.
My wife and I are both Independent Travel Agents.

Some of our favorite places:

The Southwest desert in Arizona and Nevada,
Of course, the Grand Canyon, and
The Great Lakes and Niagara Falls,
New York's Finger Lakes region
and their beautiful waterfalls,
The western Appalacians,
And all the Oceanic coasts.

We've also travelled the Wisconsin Dells, the Ozarks and the Dakota buttes and found them all beautiful.

But my wife tells me the Denver area is more beautiful than any of the other locations.

I have been fortunate enough to visit (several times) the beautiful and historic city of Charleston, SC and the surrounding coast, and low country.

We've also vacationed repeatedly in, Las Vegas and Nashville, visited historic and interesting portions of Chicago and Milwaukee, Boston, Sarasota, DC and Toronto, and...

And I've enjoyed many truly unique cities once -- Madrid and Barcelona, Spain, N'Awl'ns, Dallas, Savannah, Seattle, and...
(the cities I DON'T want to visit again: L.A. & NYC
Although L.A. has the MOST beautiful people
in their Airport,
the city is the SADDEST, most run-down city
I've been in)

Our comfortable home is VERY rural --
- our 100+ year old farmhouse sits on 5 acres
- on our dirt road
- where the apples, strawberries and raspberries grow almost totally wild
- surrounded by protected State Lands
- and only 12 minutes from work!

Some days there are more Amish buggies on the road than cars!

Our Timeshares...

The Carriage House, Las Vegas

Mariner's Pointe, Tennessee

I hope in my lifetime to

see most of the world.

My interests are pretty much: Sharing different cultures...

Computers & Technology

(yeah, I'm a geek; currently working
on an MCP certification)
And, while I am a Toshiba Infinia owner
(who LOVES the thing!),
I build most of our computers
and set up our SOHO network at home
-SCSI UW, 100base TX, TCP/IP & WinProxy)...

Of course I also enjoy all sorts of food! and drink!

Music:

Jazz and Blues, Folk and Rock, Classical, Reggae, Soul, Alternative and Techno....

Events:

I try hard to stay on top of World and US news

Conservation & Environment:

We ALL have to take care of it...

Games:

My favorite PC Games of all time include
Red Alert, Terminal Velocity, Sim City 2000
and Columns (a tetris-clone)
- I'm not much for blood and gore
- I just want a bit of strategy & relaxation

And:

I have some interest in Philosophy,
Investment, Photography and the Paranormal
-- but don't try to keep up with any of them

As a spectator I enjoy:

American Football, Baseball, Basketball,
Ice Hockey and Soccer

<<== I do a little Hiking,

and some Canoeing and occaisional Fishing

And, I love doing it all in the company of a wonderful, and intelligent wife.

I used to enjoy Snowmobiling, Motorcycling and Water Skiing. But there's so much to still do!
To learn Sky- and Scuba-Diving (any instructors out there?) and do some white-water rafting...
